How we work.

We listen first.
Before any view of the market, a careful reading of the client: their horizon, their committee, the constraints they will not relax. Mandates that begin with listening tend to end well.

We commit a partner.
One named partner sees an instruction from origination to settlement. No handovers, no escalation paths, no team you cannot reach.

We are willing to advise against.
The discipline of recommending nothing. Our fees are structured so that the right answer is sometimes to wait, and we are paid to give it.

We stay close after.
Our work begins, not ends, at completion. Asset-management counsel, market reviews and quiet introductions are part of the relationship, not separate services.

§ IV · The firm

An independent practice, by preference.

Ironwell is a small partnership of advisors. We chose independence because it allows us to act for clients without conflict, and to take the long view that good property advice requires.

We accept fewer instructions than we are offered. The firm is structured to keep it that way: a partnership, not a platform, with the time to do unhurried work.

§ V · A working principle

The right answer is sometimes to wait.

The most useful advice we give is often the advice to do nothing yet. Our fee model is built around it. A client who is paying us to recommend patience is, in our view, getting their money's worth.

If a transaction is right, we will say so plainly. If it is not, we will say that too, and we will say it early.
